Day 3 Travel day and Day 4 was The Beaches Of Normandy. Nazi Bunkers

So Day 3 was mostly a travel day. But the Nazi Bunkers, and the Beaches of Normandy were right at my doorstep even crossing the channel had a feel to it knowing what had happened along the coastline. I could imagine the rows and rows of planes and boats headed to france.

Leaving England for Sword Beach. Where the English Invaded.
 Warship in the background
The English Channel man this was a weird feeling. Also i was a bit drunk. I drank about 8 pints on the boat.

This the hotel i stayed in. Good price clean and very nice. Biggest shower yet. I could actually take a step.

So the next day was one of the most anticipated days of my life. To walk Juno Beach where the Canadians invaded. First i had to walk through Sword where the Brits were. Which was great aswell. Now in this town i came across this amazing Nazi Bunker and it was open and i was the only one there. It was so so cool. If your a history buff your going to love these video's and pics.

Here are some pics of the Nazi Bunker.

Timmins boats that the allies used to come ashore
 An 88

A tank that i'm not sure what it was and a V2 Buzz bomb
 Nazi Half Track

Off to Sword and Juno Beach

This was actually juno beach the exact spot where the Canadians first touched down and liberated the house that was across from me.

This was a tribute to a artillery regiment that was british on sword beach.
 Same thing but graves.

Begining of Juno Beach. Another 20 km's to go till i get to the Juno beach museum.

The Canadian Regiment that first liberated the house that's in the pics. The Canadian flag is still there.

First house liberated on D Day by the Canadians. They saw my Ruck Sack and invited me in for a beer. They are so appreciative even still today.

I had to go inland and i came across this church and there were pics on the wall of a tank battle that happened here. This church is nice but is in pretty rough shape. You can still see the artillery shells. It's so weird like it just happened. And there was no one around. It was really weird.

OK i'm at Juno Beach. This was a pretty important spot because it was a Port area so there was a crazy battle. The employees of the museum are all canadian so i was nice to talk in english for a bit.
Just a nice house i saw along the way.

Ok so now the museum and observation post. Enjoy the video's and pics.

 The old Canadian Flag
 Monument for the fallen soldiers

There's the museum this is donated land and is Canadian Land and the building was paid for and runs on donations.

Me having a Stella after a 50 km walk along the beach. Behind me is my hotel.

This is Hotel do Paris i stayed there and it's where the Canadian Soldiers were put up after the invasion.

Ok so that's it for my Normandy Trip Next stop was Paris. Lots to see still. The adventure is only begining.

This was my recap of my Normandy day. Showing the Hotel that the soldiers stayed in.
